There are no alarms blaring, reminding the sun to go up. There are no pills it must take to go to sleep. While we all know true presence of mind allows a far greater productivity than to merely be present, the task is simply too much to handle when the body is not given the tools to function at full capacity. It is all too understandable to resort to energy drinks and vending machines.

Advertisements constantly bombard the average American with the latest and greatest way to jolt the body into submission, never pausing to ask if this is the way life should be. Caffeine dependence is rarely spoken of as something worth overcoming. It is often nearly impossible to do alone, as the root-cause may be just out of reach.
